My journey with Bearded Collies did not begin with a plan to breed. It began with love — the love for one very special dog who changed my life forever.

His name was Harry.

Harry came into my life carrying a story of his own. He was a dog who had been returned to his breeder more than once, and when I heard his story, I knew he deserved something different. I knew I wanted to give him what every dog deserves — a home where he would never have to wonder if he belonged.

From the moment Harry became part of my life, I knew he was special. He was not just my dog. He was my friend, my companion, and a true member of my family. Through him, I discovered the incredible beauty of the Bearded Collie breed — their joyful spirit, their loyalty, their gentle hearts, and the special connection they create with their people.

When Harry crossed the rainbow bridge, he left behind a place in my heart that will always belong to him. But he also left me with something even more precious — the certainty that my story with Bearded Collies was far from over.

And then came Roma — Ariko Koyu Roma Invicta.

Roma is my first female Bearded Collie and the beginning of a new chapter. Her arrival carries a special piece of magic — she was born on a day that holds a deep place in my heart, the day I lost my mother. A day that once carried only sadness was given a new meaning through the arrival of a new life, a new dream, and the beginning of a new story. Even her name carries a special connection to my own.

Once Upon a Time Beard was created from love for this extraordinary breed and from the dream that every Bearded Collie we raise will find what Harry and Roma have found — not just a home, but a true friendship.

I believe that a dog needs more than an owner. A dog needs someone who will walk beside them through life, someone who will see them as a family member, a companion, and a friend.

Our goal is not only to breed beautiful and healthy dogs, but to raise happy, joyful, and loved Bearded Collies who will bring their families the same unconditional love and happiness they bring into our lives.
